There are a number of footpaths round the three ponds, amble about, enjoy the peace and quiet and watch the ducks and moorhens. In spring and early summer there are often little balls of fluff swimming about near their mother! There is a small shelter where you can sit and watch the activity on the
pond or if you are unlucky enough to get caught by a shower it is a good place to shelter. Between the two larger ponds there is a pleasant avenue and another place to sit and watch the ducks, many people bring bread with which to feed them.
Return to the gate where you can go straight ahead to Tregellast Barton farm. Here you can find Roskilly's ice creams and other refreshments, or you can have a meal, or buy a pot of honey or a packet of fudge and much more, all made locally.
If you are on foot and want to take a different way back to the village you can continue on the road past Tregellast Barton farm round a few bends until you come to a stile in the hedge on your right (opposite a long drive to Trebarveth farm). Cross the three fields keeping to the footpath which goes diagonally to the right over the first field then follows the right hand hedge. There are three more stiles which may have some mud beside them if it is wet. After the last stile you come on to a narrow lane (Trelyn Lane), follow this straight on, there are two bungalows to your right, until you come back the village square.
